Canopy Café
Canopy Café is a welcoming café located within the University campus in Burnaby, designed as a calm and inviting space for students, faculty, and visitors. Inspired by natural textures and warm materials, the design creates a comfortable environment that encourages people to pause, gather, and recharge throughout the day.
The interior combines wood finishes, soft neutral tones, and layered lighting to create a warm and contemporary atmosphere. The layout was thoughtfully designed to accommodate a variety of experiences, with communal tables for studying and collaboration, as well as smaller seating areas for quiet moments. Large windows bring natural light into the space, enhancing the organic material palette and creating a bright yet cozy environment. Canopy Café was envisioned as a small retreat within the campus — a place where people can enjoy coffee, connect with others, or simply take a break in a thoughtfully designed setting.
